1 Day Course
The Bpec Unvented Hot Water Systems course is for skilled plumbers and heating engineers who wish to legally install, service or commission domestic hot water systems in the UK. It is a legal building regulations requirement, all domestic unvented hot water systems over 15 litres capacity are maintained by a qualified person. This is someone who holds a current recognised Unvented Hot Water Storage certificate.
The certificate is valid for 5 years, after which the holder must attend an approved centre and take an unvented hot water re-assessment course.
Candidates wishing to attend this course must hold a recognised trade qualification in; Plumbing, Gas or Heating and Ventilation. Alternatively, candidates must provide evidence of experience working in the industry in the form of a CV with references which back-up their experience. For re-assessment, candidates must provide their current certificate.

- Open book multiple choice theory test
- Practical fault finding session
- Candidates must hold a recognized Trade qualification in either Plumbing, Gas or heating and ventilation or have experience in the plumbing/heating industry verified by a CV
- Holders can join a competent persons’ scheme
