C&G / Quick-Start NVQ Levels 2 & 3 Including Signed Portfolio-of-Work
The NVQ Level 2 & 3 is a legal requirement for all plumbers and gas engineers who wish to work on-site (Electricians do not need an on-site assessment to obtain an NVQ Level 2, it can be done in-house). After obtaining a C&G Level 2 qualification across the key Trades, the next level is the NVQ Level 2, with a signed portfolio-of-work (approved by an already registered trades professional) so the individual is legally covered to work in either a domestic or commercial environment alongside other trades. The on-site NVQ can be studied either Full or Part-Time (evenings or weekends to suit an individuals work or family commitments) so flexible to study.
If you’re already an experience trades person; plumber, gas safe engineer or electrician, with a good working knowledge, who wishes to progress to the next level or a new trades student wanting to also obtain an NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualification to their portfolio - we have the higher level qualifications to suit.
Each student wishes to obtain a full NVQ in the quickest time possible with the least amount of extra stress. The fast-track NVQ courses have been designed to suit an individual’s work or family commitments so they are flexible to study.
Over a short period each NVQ student will have complied a signed on-site portfolio-of-work (factual accounts of practical work with necessary witness statements, photographs, all signed by our independent trades assessors), allowing them to work legally alongside other trades people, either in a domestic or commercial building environment.
NVQ Level 2 & 3 course structure:
- Interview - to assess an individuals experience level and decide a suitable course to further their career i.e. PAYE, Sub-Contractor, Sole Trader / Self-Employed
- Induction - explanation of how a portfolio-of-work is combined, breaking down the modules to a flexible time-frame
- Progress Meetings - while working on the portfolio-of-work, an assessor will be allocated to assess the evidence-of-work
- Submission - the portfolio-of-work is completed & ready for submission to the academic body
- Awarding the NVQ Level 2 qualification - Same process applies to Level 3
What our recent NVQ students have said:
I completed my NVQ at an on-site facility, which meant I got my qualification quicker than originally planned for, if I’d have gone elsewhere. Also the virtual reality training helped so I understood what I needed to do. James Robson – Southampton, South Coast
Doing it this way saved me so much time and money. Without my full NVQ qualification, it would have been harder for me to apply for jobs or get full employment. Adil Rashid – Wolverhampton, West Midlands
I completed my NVQ Level 1 locally at college. I then signed-up to your training program & this allowed me to pass my Level 2 qualification much quicker than if I had stayed at college. Over time I’ll come back to my Level 3 in Plumbing. Sid Thomas – Cardiff, Wales
